    we have the technolgoy to,
    not stop it,
but at least slow it down.

the main problem is people giving up some of theire money
we could do a lot to help as is
if everyone would help then we could at least slow the process down.
and im not telling everyone to go buy a bike but so many aspects of our product manufacturing and just daily life pollutes so much, and its not like theres not better ways htta have alreayd been figured out and suggested.

i think kayone said it already, but the earth goes in cycles. neverthe less all the things we are doing are fucking it up, and only now is it a popular topic, wev been fucking up our planet for a long time already and at a colossal scale, now its finally got public attention yet we still dont do anything about it. our rainforsts r getting cut down, the ozone is getting thinner, our icecaps are melting, we are poluting the air we breath and water we drink, and yet barely anyone is willing yet do change their lifstyle.

    wow are you fucking dumb?
you clearly have never seen the movie, or done any basic research in this
its one thing to say i dont give a fuck, and im gonna polute all i want. but its another to deny that we have caused this. The United Nations just released a report on this, and i think you should do a little research. These little "natural cycles" that the earth goes through, everyone on the earth dies. What do u think happened to the dinosaurs

"Given the lack of evidence of man-made warming plus the growing disagreements among global warming theory proponents about the role of carbon dioxide, it is simply unconscionable for environmentalists to demand that the American people support the economically-disastrous Kyoto treaty. In its zeal to push its ideological agenda, the environmental movement seems to forget that it is playing with peoples' lives."

Kyoto treaty has to do with stopping the progress of global warming.

This is UNPROVEN. You can say we did, well theres still no evidence. Therefore, UNPROVEN.

more about the Kyoto Treaty here-

and abotuthe oil thing, america jsut got a new oil rig which is the biggest in the history of our country in the gulf coast, in say 10 years itll be up and working and well be saving alot($) on oil

u know i read something mad interesting for global studies the other day. the native americans purposely didnt store food for winter even though they could have. as a result, they passed through starving periods, but it effectively allowed them to still live happily, and keep the population under control. then columbus came over and thought they were retarded. and from there. nothing good has come.

we could get hit by an asteroid at any random time while we're worrying about global warming.

ok children its "hands on time"

1)Start your car (or your mommys. ask her first!)
2)put a flower in front of the muffler so the exaust gas is hitting the plant
3)leave the plant outside and the car on for three hours...

    _
for real though. see what happens. also think that cars that produce exaust pollution are on 24/7 around the WHOLE WORLD.. Night and day. non stop..
you still think we aint fuckin up the world?

*dont get me wrong im no hippy and i still drive my car an shit.. but the difference is i know im fuckin up the earth.. you still live in unicorn land

the earth has constantly show that it can adapt to fix itself over time, there might not be anymore people alive to see it recover but it will eventually recover

    shut up

you talk about the earth as if it exists by itself..... it doesn't recover. it goes through cycles thats different.

and the earth isn't what recovers, it is a series of interrelated systems. and it is "natural" levels of species or chemical properties such as oxygen levels which adjust. not the earth itself.

no, that would be the thermohaline, the global density-driven circulation that goes on in the ocean. constantly transfers heat in water and various minerals throughout the globe.

if enough ice from the polar caps melt into the ocean, it will disrupt the current and cause drastic weather changes.

pay attention in science class for fucks sake. <_<
