today i walked into staples with a plan. jacket/coat weather is almost gone so i better build up my supply box before i cant rack as much. i went to the art section. took a whole 24 box of prismas opened it and dumped it into my pocket. went to the sharpies and took a bunch. grabbed a few gold and silver paint pens. went back to the art section and grabbed a new blackbook. went to the counter. sat the pad down and paid for it so i didnt look too suspicios. walked out smiling.
i need a few view points on this....... a writer can just go all out with a throw up and boming but not piece and still be considers a writer?
Yeah I'd still consider a person like that a writer. Some writers do tags, some do pieces, some do throws, or a mix of the above. Getting up and the lifestyle is what makes you a writer.
look at people like ja...never seen anything outta the guy but throwies and tags. but he's still on of the most famous writers in the us.

Seems like the most popular question on here is "can I write so and so guys!?!?!" You don't ask what colours to use in your piece, or how you should do your letters. Write what's true to you, you're going to change it a bajillionty times anyways.
Just wondering... What caps do writers use for doing fills? Seems that fat caps would be too high pressure and harder to control and skinny caps would be too low pressure and take too long. Doesn't really seem to be a large range of middle size caps...
heres some advice... spend some time drawing and less time coming up with what your new name is for the week and then flooding the blackbook post pics thread talking about it. i swear to god your skill level will rise.

Just do what you want to do, do your own shit. It makes no sense if you just want to do the same thing other writers do; only because you think it's not cool what you are doing. If you want to do something, just do it. You dont go ask people if you can, do you think legends like cope2 did that? No. they just do their own. That's why they got famous, nobody is waiting for the next writer who is just copying others styles. Just someone who tags only can be considered as a writer just do what you want, and i agree with esstyle, don't just ask, be original and just do your own. You feel alot better when you have actually done everything on your piece by yourself. Even when it looks like shit. Always better than just ask everytime you want to do a piece how to make the letters or how to colour it. I am not saying you may never ask. Maybe for basics or something.. And if someone don't like your piece, that's his problem, not urs. Just try being original and do your own shit.
