whats the best way to fully develop a good style because everytime i come up with a sketch i think is dope i end up hating it and can never progress and sort of style

revid, dont make your letters so blocky, make shit smooooother, itll be easier on the eyes. try rounding off the edges to see how it'll look. aile, looks great, made me try out some simple letters. im diggin the color scheme with the single pink L. bastardo, shits hot. its nearly as fresh as my breathe after i brush and mouthwash. well i gave in and tried out nice simples. whadda think? I'm sick of bein' told to 'start simple' so tell me something I don't because I've done simple letters million time but I wanna piece 'n you can't stop me so crits please revid that shit looks dope you should dig on that, forget haters, I think you develop your own style when you do letters so many times you automatically think to draw it a certain way. Maybe you won't have the best style at first but it'll progress.
yeah... i always draw shit, think its dope and then i end up hatin it i wan some dope ass style thats super unique but i alwyas think im losin it thats why i ask how to work on getting your own style
no offense but, clearer how? can you read what you wrote? i can't, can you? no? then start simpler. and then even simpler. and then even simpler. until your writing nothing but block letters that you can read. exactly how you see them on your keyboard. zero arrows or other add on's. do it a couple hundred times. do it till your hands bleed. then. when you've mastered super simples, start to bend your letters. just a tug, here or there at first. not the whole word. pull one way on one letter. then go the other way. find the way that best suits you, and seems has the most steez. then you'll have the basis to begin thinking about letters 3 dimensionally. how they fit together. how they bend apart. how this relates to the letter next to it and to the letter next to it. then when they start fitting together a little bit, develop more flair. best advice i can give. i still draw super rediculously overthought but underdeveloped letters everyday. but when you start with simples, you have a strong basis with which to begin, and later if you need to look back, you remember the development of the letter, and it helps you. im not the best, but since i began using simples, i've actually come a lot further than without.
yes, I can read what I wrote. At first I could barely write my name because I didn't know how to do the N's how I was trying to, I've done 'simples' tons of times so I think I have at least some letter structure. I always get sick of doing simple shit 'n do a piece though. I don't know what kinda letters I'm supposed to be making right now 'cause I think I'm past super simple block letters but I can't piece how I see it in my head. I just suck at drawing.
im quite sure you can read what you wrote. and if i squint really hard i might be able to as well. but is that honestly what you want to put on a wall? if so then so be it. if not, the simple route is a proven path to greatness. every single writer you can think of started with simps. it how they get so creative with the letters later on. goes by the same principle as if you know where you've begun, you find a clearer path to where you're going. write whatever your name is in simple. then like i said begin to develop each letter appropriately. it takes time. doesn't happen overnight. pull here, push there, makes them yours. simples teach you how to make letters the same size, appropriate widths of letters, how one leg of the a should be the same size as the other..., they teach you a ton. and when you get good at them, make them better. make them yours. and then thats when it gets fun and super creative. this isn't something you just get overnight. after months you'll understand simples. then develop and so on. its not that you suck at drawing. anyone can draw. its that you're not passionate enough to develop the letters the way that you want. and thats frustrating.

stop all the talking. hobbes nobodys is forcing you to do anything. do whatever you want. the reason people are saying to do simples because its easier to build off of them, in the long run you'll progress faster. but again, your choice.
