I saw this on youtube and he's using soot from a candle, then shampoo and water to make it act as ink. I was thinking what makes ink permanent and I came to the conclusion that ink isn't permanent, it just has alot of fucking pigment in it and it sticks well. This soot will definitely be enough pigment for an ink, and he's had those tattoos on him for about 8 years he said and they haven't faded. If the ink is exposed like with a tag I wonder if it'd last just as long as 2 years if left untouched. "India ink is made with fine soot called "lampblack," along with water and a binding agent, such as gelatin or shellac." The binding agent he uses is shampoo but I think you guys can find another one that might work better. I read egg yolk might work for inks. Also, green pigment for inks can be made from plants too, that's a project I wanna try soon. Someone try this prison ink shit and tell me if it works. I'm too lazy.
Ok I found an easier way This one uses pencil lead (which isn't actual lead, no pencil is made with lead it's graphite which is carbon basically, so it's safe) and he smashes the graphite into a powder then mixes it with water to make it into an ink. Instead of cracking open a bunch of pencils you should buy lead for lead pencils in bulk at the store. Since this ink is organic it'd probably be buffed by mother nature in a few rains but nothing is permanent in life. It's one big circle so we keeping on bombing like we keep living day to day. The only way I can think of combating it without any knowledge of chemicals is to add more pigment, in other words concentrate it. Anyone looking to experiment with ink and find ways to make it last longer should check out this Wikipedia on paint, particularly the Components section. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paint Also here's an article about how paint fades: http://spearpaint.com/science-behind-fading-paint/
I've been tattooed while locked up with both pencil graphite, and soot. Soot works better it's a whole lot darker, if made correctly. People usually burn plastic and collect soot from that, then add it to shampoo, or even just water. The more soot you add, the darker it gets. Which I guess is why water could be better, because you could add more before it gets too thick..
Guess I should have read your whole post before posting lol. I thought you were going to tattoo yourself. As for making homemade ink more permanent, that's why people add dot3 break fluid. It seems to eat away at whatever surface you tag allowing ink to penetrate() deeper.
Holy shit. thank you for bumping this thread. I needed a good laugh. I also needed some tattoo ink that may or may not kill me. Appreciate it.
