just waiting on you to drop yours man.

everyone picked SKEMA vs the other options ... I wonder what the group psychology is behind that. I imagine people prefer a 5 letter vs 6 letter word. In find As to be a pain though, Us are so much easy to make fit

Well, I picked "Skema" because it allowed me to rock the schematic theme.

But honestly, I have a six letter name. Can't speak for everyone else, but more letters do not scare me. Maybe we do something crazy like "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog," which has every letter of the alphabet in it.

    Or "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."

    I dunno...

The schematic concept is dope! I also don't mind longer words but damn we are going to have to extend the deadline if we are gonna start writing sentences!! Lol

For me it was about the balance of the word. I prefer an odd number of letters for that reason. Maybe just personal preference?? Dunno

For you, you have the style and letter bending down cold .. certain letters are a pain for me, like double OOs i just want to make them into titties, Qs kind suck, As, Fs, Xs bc you cant really change the angle of the bars to a letter X

    Well thanks!

I have trouble with certain letters too. But certain combinations rock for me.

That's one of the reasons I enjoy battles and exchanges. They force me to work outside my comfort zone.

I picked skema because I like e's more than i's. And odd letters more than even because it's easier for me to balance the piece for some reason. Even though I rarely do actual symmetrical letters, I try to balance the flow, that seems to be more of a challenge without a letter in the middle. Never really thought about why til now

Some awesome sketches all, I heard of this one but was a bit late for me. I'm not sure how this works? ...is there a method to vote? ...hope I can get in on the next one when the word is known.

So this battle ended last night. Our boy ZOUP will post the battle over the weekend and anybody can vote. Whoever wins will pick the next word on Mon./Tues. and the deadline will be the Friday after next.

And you vote by just putting who gets your vote once all the entries are posted. Battles are every two weeks. There don't seem to be any rules other than you can only enter one sketch.

In fact, let me take a moment to lavish praise on all the entries...
Classic was just that. Fucking CLASSIC. Everything I love about graffiti from the flow to the colors to the structure... NAILED.

Matt... One of the most solid entries I have ever seen from you. The letters came out nice and stylish.

Otto... Dope and reminds me heavily of handstyles but in a good way. All the extensions bring nice balance.

IllFunk... The flow is bananas. Really captures movement and style well.

Watchawant... Chunky and hostile in the way a battle piece should be. Strong bars like a Dizaster battle rap.

Yeh... This was my second favorite and really close to classic. It rocks graffiti perfectly in every aspect and bangs in that way you know would look nice on the side of a train.

Zoup... One of your better entries. I can see where you are experimenting with how to connect and distort your piece and all the extension bars really help augment that.
