I think you should do blockletters. Just copy exactly that font in your sketch paper which says "the division of law" and you will get decent sketch. On that one drop shadow would make it lil bit better, r is too big and e is mad wierd.

F.C.- stick to bars, dont mess with extentions yet. Kemps- Stick to bars,use pencil rather then pen right away, can mess with the letters more, try doing a block letter series.
Partofme: don't worry bout trying to bend the letters and making them try to look unique yet. Just work on getting basic structure down first. um...might use something like this for a canvas?: View attachment 345508

spark391 i dont really see what you talking about with my style looking like alerts. cause i know the artist your talking about and the only simalaritys i can see are the curling of some letters. but other than that i dont see how i bit him.
