I do this thing where I freestyle lines and letter shapes, and it helps me with consistency and proportion. Here's an example, it's obviously not perfect and There's unnecessary detail that looks wack, but my focus doing this is for style development. Thoughts? screen capture freeware
Not feeling that red piece bro. The D looks like a O and the E is pretty wonky. Kinda like the R tho Here's a quicky from today don't really sketch much lately.
@loon damn that straight letter is clean @bays good shit. You should add extensions and vary the widths of your bars.
some weeks back i revisited an old character and gave her the attention she deserved. still proud of this one before color
@Semper: Good stuff as always. @Zenith: Not bad. The hand might look better if you use capital E and switch up the R so it'll fit in better. The throwie is to compressed. Keep at it. @Lykwid: Gotta start some where. By the way how young are you? @Herbn: The yellow and white are cool. Only thing that messed up the yellow one is the Z, should of left the top as wide as the other letters. Keep at it.
beav i like the first photo you posted the top one looks good phase that stuffs looking fresh bro nice work
Preciate it, never really finished the white one but I dig it, and I agree with ya bugs the Z needs some work
