i know it's not in a blackbook, but i don't know where else to put it
my L sucks
sry for it being upside down, don't know why that happened
Might help if you established a proper midline so the bigger chunks of the L and E would align right.
Anyway, just to show that it's not like I'm slacking, I did start attempt working on the battle word, but couldn't quite get my bars down how I wanted 'em, and I forgot how much Sharpie just slurps up a page. That was annoying.
On top of that, I have found an alternate name that I like, if it isn't taken, although working on it made the page I used turn from this:
Not that I mind, really. I have a pretty small sketchbook (5.5x8.5"), so I gotta get in as much as I can on one page, even if that means going over everything. At the very least I know what I'm doing. Does anybody else do this?
^ Solid stuff, definitely have the right idea w/ tags.
The piece definitely work better as a tag, but could use more weight..also I personally think all letters should be the same height, right now the C is the tallest letter like it's capital and everything else is lower case..
Should read CAMO or camo, not Camo
Haha, I guess my English major side is showing a little bit, trying to capitalize names and shit. I totally see what you mean. I'll try it out and show the results. Still working on consistent bar width too, and shaky hand. Gah, shaky hand. Death of me.
No wuckas mate. In terms of shaky hand..are you referring to when you go over your outlines w/ the sharpie that your lines 'swiggle' so to speak?
I have shaky hands myself but it shouldn't affect you when you go over your lines w/ marker, pen, etc. It's a matter of practice and technique, which I still look to improve on.
I recommend checking out this guy's insight on it(link below)..really gotta get the muscle memory down and do it in one smooth semi-quick movement.
Also helps to rotate the paper to give you a better angle and make sure you pull the marker as opposed to pushing it..so when you begin a line make sure the marker is coming towards you as opposed to pushing outwards..makes sense?
Oh yeah that is weird haha
seems to go down along the line a bit and is going from about straight to leaning a lot to left.
Would look better if that would be more consistent imo
Bars are pretty decent, the R looks a bit thicker then the rest for me
@Cl4sh, scrap those EZPZ letters and start adding style. Im sure your capable!
Saturday sesh...looking to get something out tonight too.
So, I've been trying to work on my handstyle, and when I came back to my name, I discovered this interesting hand trick my hand seems to want to do between the N and the Z that mirrors the loop that occurs when I cross my T. Thoughts/crits?
Looks terrible. Can barely read it
I can see that with the ones where the A is too close to the T, or the ones where there was too much wrist and the T started looking like a J a bit.
ahem i prefer the one with the purple background. Tanz you still need a lot of work. But keep going.
Haven't posted anything lately because I've been out in the east coast catching some dope flicks and tagging... but I'll get some stuff up in a day or few. Something recent here crits?
PUTS that lookin good! Ringo also nice, maybe work on the consistency of the bars a bit.
Separate names with a comma.
