My limit at this point i guess. Fill could be cleaner tho
Nice simple letters! Just try and keep all the bars the same width. Iv used your picture to show how varied your bars are. I didn’t mark the top of the T as it’s quite obviously bigger. Just try and keep it all equal to start with and then you can tweak it later once you have all the shapes down. Hope this helps
Playing with my throwie even tried an upside down one
Ye i know no flow, dont do extensions and do simples, i was too far in to stop. Practice for spaz battle.
Hey, completely new here and completely new at doing this sorta thing too.
Would really appreciate if anyone could give me some feedback on my sketch and maybe some tips for me to improve!
The word is "verbs".
^ Not enough arrows! Letters are too close together for now, would use the lines of the page to make every letter the same number of lines across, and would try to make the bars of each letter equal to one line across. Don't try to go too wild or crazy- arrows and extensions are to accentuate your piece, not to try to cover for lack of letter structure. Another way to look at that is if you remove all the arrows and extensions off your piece what are you left with? Something decent to look at, or a mess? I like the arrow as negative space in the top of the B.
General commentary on this page: GOOGLE. Before you pick 'your' name go to google images and enter that name + graffiti. Names like Verb(s) or Task are fairly well used. There's the argument that you could put a number after your name to give respect to you not being the first. On the other hand, there's plenty of unused words out there and I don't think I've ever seen Cope6 or Seen7. Just my opinion, sure there are others who would say different.
Thank you for the feedback!
Could you mark where you think I used too much arrows and extensions?
I will try to redo the sketch, change some letters (specially the V since it's a bit boring imo) and make it a bit more plain while keeping the letters more equally sized.
As to you saying that there's not enough arrows; idk haha, I'll try my best but will be rough.
Also I don't plan to use this as a tag or put this in a public place.
I live in a big old appartment with a shared living room, which is called "verbs", so my idea is to make a design and put it on the wall here.
Get rid of all the extensions and arrows and simply work on doing straight letters like the ones on ur keyboard like urban said work on ur sizing too
More arrows is a joke, beginning writers typically throw a whole bunch of misplaced arrows around their pieces to make it look graffitized. On yours it's like everything ends with or is filled by an arrow. It's a bunch of shit going all over the place, it doesn't add any flow or direction to the area they come from or the piece as a whole. You also need to finish your drawing, needs dimensions on the next one.
I'm not Chumlee. One way you can tell- when I speak I sound like I know WTF I'm talking about.
Sketching out the next one
I think I almost like the black and white better
Damn Askm that piece is crazy, I fuck with that.
This doesn’t really pertain to graff pieces or anything but here’s a piece I’ve been working on for an auction. I’m close to finishing but I need to smooth out all the imperfections
Thanks dude, that's sick. My boys and I used to do decks all the time and donate them to tattoo conventions
Separate names with a comma.
