Working on a wine label for my friends first vintage as a winemaker. Any thoughts, improvements and critiques would be super helpful!
This is just a first pass version to show them what I was thinking
Is the name Trash Wine? Lol
Haha yeah, despite it being a cult wine from a very nice producer in Napa, they're calling it Trash Wine haha! Here'ssome.others I was working on.
Nice!! I like the Black and white one best. May be cheaper as well for printing being only black and white??
Looks good homey. But ask your man about the cost to print the labels. I ask that because, I got to design a t-shirt for my company and I found out that the more colors I used the more the cost went up in producing the shirt. And this can be an easy way into doing graffiti as a side hustle. You lose some creative control, but I think it is pretty dope to do.
Thanks for looking out! I'm a professional graphic designer by trade and have close connections with prints. I get things dirt cheap, wholesale, and before taxes. ~$160/500 3"x5" 70 lb eggshell full color with gold foil
Thanks! I was trying to sell them on the jazzy one linerish style of that one too but I guess there was one dissenter in the group of 4 and they all also liked just some script like graph I had done before. I'm trying to push them back towards simple but don't want to take away a full piece option
I totally understand that. Doing work for someone else always takes some compromise on the artists part. Especially if its for a corporate type job. They want "graff" but it also has to be easily readable by the masses!
Deff keep it simplistic . basic mofo love simple shit... the less shit the more they like it. I would also make it on a computer . nothing ever comes out right when you use a pic to get a print iv done it with shirts and they be trash!!! lmfaoo no pun intended .
I deff fuck with the idea of the trash can . but becuse its a trash can you could simply just write wine and people will get it long as the trash can looks enough like a trash can .
Maybe do some structured pratice drawings to get your shapes down to where you would prefer .
Even tho your keeping it simple it wouldnt hurt to add a bit of depth to the trash can its self . to emphasize the "trash" part .
Edit : or even write trash on the lid . but ingraved look like a sewer main or a plublic trash bin
Redid the letter and now going to redo the BG
The bars are not even at all. bar width consistency practice would help.
I'll try to go through and tighten up the bars after I put in the BG.
Find an old sticker in the wild. ~3 years old
I tried evening thing out and I think it looks better. Any other spots you see that could use work?
First sketches i made in 2 years, still a toy...
Where do i go from here?
Every letter but iea is uneven bruh
