Just be sure not to buy the cheap crap that they sell at the dollar store, since most of those sticks are very brittle and of poor quality. In fact, I'm on my way out to get a few colours right now... Peace.
i know this must sound so daft.. but could someone post a pic of an oil pastel.. cos in school thers loadsa boxes of em.. so if there teh same im gonna take a box n melt em down like someone sed n put em in a glue stick
they might be the ones in yer school. just see id they have a crayon type texture. cuz if u grab the chalk pastels every rain storm is considered a buff. i found a box a couple days ago.mixed em up and poured them into a chapstick.yummy
pastels are decent if they are warm. here its cold sometimes and they get really gay and snap and are really hard to write with. if you keep them in your pocket for like 2 days then they will work just fine. i like doing characters with them... on boxes in white... yeah.
Oil pastels are fucking sweet. Just wondering,if they write at all in winter. In a few months i'll try.
about how much are a box of pastels? my friends mom is an artist so she had some and gave me 4 of them. white, yellow, purple, and blue. i was pretty happy! ha. more people need to post some work of theres that they have done with pastels.
