    my mum has a digital cam just like that are u sure its a digital slr. Also my mums cost like 450 pound she was probably better off getiing a digi slr.

    its got a led as a screen inside! so it sorta suks but it costed me lik £175 and the rrp was like £300

    im hoping to get a digital slr but there so fukin expencive a cheap ons like £500 without a lense battery pack or memory hard drve

    OOOH! A photo thread. Sweet! i got my degree in photography. No job, of course, but at least I know how to work a camera. :rolleyes: Some really nice pics guys. Anyone have the canon 20D? thinking of getting it soon and curious on your experience with it....

    with digi slr's can u use old manual lenses ?? thats what i have been wondering for ages

    sure, as long as the mount is right. and it tends to be brand specific, for example old nikon lenses will work on new nikons but not canons, sony cams, etc...

    to be honest, nikon and canon have the best chance of being able to use older lenses on the new digi's...but one caution....

    there are new lenses coming out specifically made for digi's and that's because of how the internal sensors work. Old lenses work, but the new digi lenses work better....
    (less problems with image capture)

    yer i think its more that the new lenses can he used with auto focus and there might be different fittings ive been meaning to go into jessops and ask about it but im to lazy

    is it a digi slr ?
    Also if anyone can awnser cos im to lazy to go to jessops on an slr does it have a delay like most digi cameras like it takes the pic like 2 secs after u press the shutter release down? Like with a normal film slr it takes the pic straight away.

    is it the shutter speed that effects that or im just rong! soz i dont no!

    rich boy with i-pod nah its to do with the digital chip and it having to process all the light or something. But im wondering it ehy have sorted that with a digi slr

    hey look i put all the money i getin to electronics (and paint), when i did my work experiane i got paid £100 for the 2 weeks the school gave me, and they offerd me another 2 weeks for £360 in the summer holidays!

    so i got mi ipod n a camcorded with the money


    i dont spend it on anythink else!

    Im lookin ta get a new digital camera mine was in an accident involving a party and a cup of vodka....so i figured id ask what everyone was using im lookin for some fairly nice in the range of $300-400...any suggestion?

    just save up like another 200 dollars and get an digi slr. But i mean you could get a fairly decent digi cam where u can change iso, apature and so on. Or you could go ghetto and get a film slr
