it would have looked like shit lakim, there was barely any foliage, just desert ground which made it too bland

and i wanted to break it up with a little bit of bush action on the bottom

    loljkjk

i tried doing some portrait stuff today, id never really seriously tried portraiture so it was alot of experimentation.its probably not gonna turn out well, but i probably learned something. and i also opened the back of my camera before rewinding the film, but it was dark out so hopefully they didnt get too fucked up...

I handed in my first college application today. Art Institute of Philadelphia, for bachelor's in photography. Out of the 40 something art institutes, this one has the strongest photography program out of all of them. Only thing that sucks is the admission there isn't really based on a portfolio. Which sucks because I'm like a D student. =/ oh well.

Worked out that I can in fact use my yashica MG-1 even without a battery or working light meter... the shutter without a battery fires at 500th of a second only... but with the sunny 16 rule and 400ISO film I can shoot as I usually do during the day!

Dope! Funny how learning techniques like this can bring old cameras back to life!

I like the first shot [the tunnel] except it's too blown out at the actual light source.
A little Brighten shadows/darken highlights might do it some good. Specially if you got it on RAW.
I would like the second one if it was in focus and I think it would do well as a black and white shot.

    Thanks man.
The tunnel one pisses me off. I couldnt get a nice shot of it. The opening of the tunnel was always retarded bright.
And second one was just a quick snap then i got home and kinda liked it.
    Thanks for the input !

it says .jpeg at the end of each, im not sure if thats different from .jpg. pressing command doesnt do anything, maybe you have to enable that?

and i can open them in preview and colorsync but aperture or iphoto wont work.
iphoto said its unrecognizable and aperture imported them, then crashed
