i'm already shooting film at the moment, im kinda leaning towards a rebel t21 with a 18-55mm lens, itll run me $800 so that aint bad. still got some lookin to do.
only problem is after about a year the camera body will drop pretty harsh in price

it is my understanding that most of the entry level dslrs are pretty much the same thing. i would just buy something basic and a nice lens. no need to get a fancy body if you dont need large prints or high fps

Reckon this needs a re up.

I'm so getting one as a substitute for an M9 which I can't justify spending 10 g's on.

I'm sure you can do it in aperture. If not download gimp it's free.

Here is a document I now live by, as I'm sick of having work printed without pay or name recognition.
I suggest you find a document that abides by your countries law and use it FOR EVERY SERIOUS JOB. Not only does it protect you and your interests, but it also puts the fear or professionalism into your client, it shows you mean business and aren't to be fucked with.

    http://www.aipa.org.nz/html/blob.ph...PDF?document=2601&elementId=11766&attach=true

    Read part 4.2, and part 6. :):):):)

It is important to show your clients documents like this AND GET THEM TO SIGN IT. Once you have, you have real legal power if they try to fuck you over, which they definitely will.

    Opinions on the Finepix x100?

If the lens was interchangeable I would be first in line for one.

yup, i could care less about interchangeable lenses on one of those. what i wanna know is if the viewfinder works the same way as a real rangefinders focusing system.
    ...and faster aperture
