See at one point I tried to do a style somewhat like that and then everyone told me to not do circles. Weird.

Why would u listen them ? Some people do their throwies circle styled or some oneliners have to be bubbly, everything is good if you make it work. Like cons has the idea but needs to make it better.

hey guys what's up just a quick answer/ opinion on something please: so my name is koda, and there's only like 20 writers in my town, and one of them is named kode, and i wanted to know if you guys think it's disrespect to have such a similar name (it wasn't on porpuse i didn't know about him when i picked my name)

 

20 writers is more than I've got near me XD but if he isn't some big name out by you then i wouldn't worry too much. The old advice for that is "if you like the name and someone else has it, get better than they are and take it". If you don't feel like dealing with beef, probably wanna change up your name.

 

no no problem at all, i mean he's not a legend around here just a good writer you know? i actually only know he exists because my brother was a writer and he knew him, i just don't want to be disrespectful, and it's not even the same name, just similar. so yes, i guess i will try to practice a lot (I don't paint on walls yet because I'm a beginner, still practising, in fact i think you commented one sketch of mine). and thanks for the help!

damn i forgot about menos! that full has a rad styled throwie. but Cons needs a little somethin to make it more eye pleasing. def potential though. especially his consistency with the sizing

 

Personally I'd change my name in that case. The fact you haven't made your name means you can change it pretty easy without any notice. When I found my own name I'd made sure it wasn't similar to any of the current writers in my own town. But it's your own thing, if you feel like sticking with Koda, go with it.
