So I used to “write” (use the term loosely tags and throwies). I started back after I was blown away and couldn’t stop watching dudes on YouTube get up. I was in Salisbury, NC and there was a free wall so I went and spent like 7 hours just painting. It was pretty rad. Then when I got back home I was on a mission to find abandos or whatever to paint on. Found one after a week of google earth and driving around. It was sick. Put some bullshit up but I stood in front of it pretty damn pleased.

My question is there any good tools to find abandos? I think that’s what I want to focus on until I get comfortable with what I’m putting up. I’m just having a real hard time finding anywhere. Thanks.

What does the 'one' orginitate/ stand for after the tag?

I know the longer numbers stood for streets/ neighborhoods but where did the one come from?
I used to always add this to my tag but never really thought of why, e.g. Kaws One

Super curious if anyone know cus I can't find this answer online.

A little late but bubble letters are typically for throw ups.
Handstyle is rooted in deviation from calligraphy.
    So traditionally no .

Cheech Wizard an old 70s comic character used to be that standard for charicture.
This being a toy thread. Do any of you know who he is?
Can maybe somebody tell me why hes not as relevant? Played out, time, age gap or just lack of knowledge with younger writers? I used to see him regularly on rail cars.

Was a popular comic during graf's inception. V. Bode passed, his son M. Bode picked up the torch a little- he did do some graf but mainly focused on comics and tattoos. Since the 2000s there have been several Bode graf jams in his memory and M. Bode has particpated in some. The original comic was a 60s/70s comic, so no longer made and less in the public eye. Beyond that, there are plenty of younger people in graf who haven't seen the basic beginner books/movies like Style Wars or Spraycan Art so they don't know the roots.

Old school NYC standard .But I used to catch Cheech Wizards on UP lines in St. Louis often. Alot has changed since I was writing, but I thought cheech wizard would have for sure remained a staple in writing.

After replying to this I walked a few lines and came up on a brand new Cheech Wizard w/ a naked chick waiting to roll, so it lives on.

Amazing this douchebag still sits here talking shit much less giving out advice or 'knowledge' when he already exposed himself as a guy who never wrote, still doesn't, doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about, and needs it explained to him how he's snitching on people, smh. Guy should have shrivelled up and blown away long ago, like his self respect did.

Bombing science is a store ,this forum is intended to sell products based on discussion. Real writers aren't on the internet flexing. Did I write? Probabally bombed more rail cars than you have sketchbook pages. Do I write? Not getting up yet.
Most of the real writers on here are paid for their content .
You don't know where on this planet I am or what I have or will write. This is just tool to work out the issues because like I said the internet isn't the real world. I'll take some shit in cyberspace , better than getting slashed in real life.
Back before the internets you had to find a secluded spot under a bridge or abandoned building, hit it, ask your boys opinion and hit the same spot again until you were ready to get up in front of the world.
I'm a grown adult , all them dudes are dead or productive members of society with kids
    - Give a Kid advice on handstyle? Yeah. I for sure don't see you doing much more than hating. If no one can read your shit then its just that shit.
    - speak of distaste for computer printed stickers. Hell yeah fuck a printer
    - guess you're the kind of dude that crowns himself king of the internet writers though.
    - bombing science don't matter. Thats why I dont give a fuck.
    - will I get up. Stay tuned lil homie ,might just be a rail car near you real soon. Wong be posted on a stores website though.
    That's all.
    - cheech Wizard was a question, not "dropping knowledge".

This is hilarious since my comments were directed at the multi-SN user we all know as Chumlee (unless this is just another Chumlee account). So in other words, you puffed up your chest and beat on it for no reason, lolz. I hope some other users will find amusement here.

Either way, one thing that changed since people were kids is Google. Fucking use it. You can find plenty of Bode shit still happening as well as a history of Bode from West Coast, Midwest, East Coast, and far beyond.

Is it really a place that is intended to promote the sale of graffiti supplies through discussion about graffiti?

I'm someone who likes to talk about graffiti and post pictures out of my enjoyment of it I hope that doesn't get me banned.
