im saying, how the hell is that a calligraphy nib.
if u cut it the right way its a calligraphy nib
yea, but it didnt look anything like that in the picture. but its cool, thanks for posting pictures.
By calligraphy nib I meant look at the nyc mop
and watch this vid as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J07Ae13rngQ he mentions the "almost like calligraphy nib". Take a piece of felt eraser and fold it over, looks pretty much exactly the same. I think it was BCNU that made my ghetto nyc mop kinda thing, use it with just the very tip of one of the corners, you get a smaller line, now use it right where the fold is, when you do letters like L and stuff it goes from thick to thin, essentially its a chisel tipped kiwi.
ive done the kiwi thing but i did the other one to make it not so hard to refill. cuz if the nib isnt glued in the kiwi itll pop out, and if you glue it in you cant refill it very well. i dont really feel like racking kiwi after kiwi everytime i run out of ink. just my thought.
**** new thought, if you took out the regulator and ripped the foam off of the kiwi then widened the hole and stuck the felt in, you wouldnt have to keep replacing your marker. so yea, forget what i said before.
yea i messed up the regular nib on my kiwi so i just folded over peice of felt and stuck it in their lol so yea its like a kiwi with a chisel tip btw the ink is just red pen ink fades mad fast

it burns you skin right ^ but what do you mix it with

I have seen a lot of shit. I am always on the lookout for dope styles, and yet I have never seen a single etch tag that was even remotely impressive. My barber shop down the street is a perfect example. It's a 30 year old shop with a dude my dad's age running shit. He finally quit replacing his window because of repeated toy etch tags. It take a lot of $10 hair cuts to replace a $500 piece of plate glass because some no talent douche obtained some etch. That's what etch seems to be all about. Small business owners replacing expensive glass because some kid with no skills gets his hands on some etch.
I am all about people learning their craft in their blackbooks and in the streets. I love seeing sick pieces, mediocre throwies, and the worst tags just about everywhere. It's part of the vibrant life of art in the city, and even the shittiest work inspires me to write more, practice harder, and get better. But when I see etch on some small business (which is almost always where I see it - nobody ever goes big with this shit, as far as I have seen), I see the mark of somebody who lacks any sort of respect whatsoever.
Fuck etch. Go make a drippy marker and get some Garvey. At least then, if you must hit a little shop (which I think is soft anyway), the guy can buff the shit without having to drop half a rent check to get rid of your bunk shit.
thats why you only etch bus shacks and stuff no one gives a fuck about
people need to stop clogging these threads with crap if its not about a marker dont ask ........... to make this post relivant water bottle with felt and gk
