What is raven oil and what's its use?

edit: Can we discuss PAINT in this thread too? There is no paint discussion thread.... I would like to know some good paint additives and they're purpose. Hopefully some paint experts can chime in. All I know of so far is oil based wood stain and linseed oil. What does linseed oil do? I also remember someone mentioning Bitumen (sp). Bitumen is just tar, right? And Japan drier to help dry faster.

I know, I know. This is the INK thread and most people in here would take ink over paint any day, but lets not forget how dope paint is :).

acetone based cant be put into a squeeze mop, it will eat through the plastic, and it evaporates off the surface and leaves ur tag like dust

^it will dissolve mops, if you use the wrong type of mop, and no it doesnt leave dust... unless you tried addign liek carbon powder to it without suspending it

and linseed oil suspends pigmetns for oil based paints

bitumen in liek asphalt, hard to buff black oil based thick goo, thin it with naphtha and add carbon and dyes

H3tt is one of the only ink heads that still frequents this thread. I applaud his dedication.

on the topic of certain solvents disolving plastics, the TYPE of plastic is very important. A solvent that might not disolve the bottle it is packaged in could still do damage to your marker body if it is the wrong plastic.

to the guy with the shitty pen ink: did you use regular ballpoint pens? Maybe you used gel pens instead. I'm not sure the outcome if gelpens are used, I'm just speculating a possible cause.

    Nope. You fail.
It's 2 parts rusto, 1 part thinner, and its the most basic paint recipe there is.
you basically told us how to boil water, but screwed up the directions.

this is bullshit, its only good for bleeding through when painted over, its actually pretty easy to remove with a chemical buff

nail polish remover is acetone and a buncha other random shit.
and yea as vagrant said the type of plastic matters, i think it comes in HDPE plastic, which is pretty resistent to solvents. you should pretty mcuh be good with any mops as long as its not like PS or maybe ldpe
