Just looking for crits. Not sure if I'm good enough to be here but w/e. I know the M is spaced out a bit far, and I don't like how long the P is.

Puts clean stuff. The M seems to be a lot small than the other letters. I am personaly not a fan of how the p turns realy skinny as it curves but thats just me. Dope colors tho. Keep it up man!

I like the A and the R. Tge K and E need work, they're hard to make out. My opinion, try it again and make the letters a little more recognizable.

hoooly... i dont know why, bugs, but i am seriously digging these much more than the stuff u were doing before. something is definitely different this time around.. you use less extensions? you cut down on the clutter or something i cant quite put my finger on it. but whatever youre doing. keep doing it. hard!
i dont know in general you have flow and your letters are nice and clean. lose that weird u shaped connection between the L and U in the first flick, i find it out of place.
actually i think thats whats different! youre using less extensions and gimmicks. makes your style look more mature

Bugs clearly mastered simple letters threw adding serifs and accentuated corners with sniper precision! Big ups (or shall i say BUG ups homie)

→ After the first fuck up on the T (fillings) i had the idea to mess it up as bad as possible. Victory achieved i guess:

Appreciate that, Phat. I guess I did stop trying to use all the weird extensions and all that. I've always been more into simple letters. To me it's all in the letter structure, without good structure all the bells and whistles don't mean shit. Thanks homie.

Thanks, nZane. That style you got going on has good potential, keep at it.

    Hey guys

After a 10yr + hiatus from any form of graffiti, I have recently returned to sketching and hope to continue to post, develop and eventually start putting pieces up. Below was done just to get back into the flow and go a little crazy, will post more easliy judgeable and hopefully stylistically consistent pieces in the future.

I am posting this in the intermediate thread bc even though I have some semi-decent artistic skills, I know very little about graff itself (technical terms, process, history, actual painting etc). Hoping to gain some knowledge from anyone willing to share.

    Welcome to Bombing Science!

First things first: tsotsi is not a good name for a writer (2 s's, 2 t's, a circle, and a line) It's a good homosexual name if you're gay, however. Either way, I don't judge.

A hiatus implies that you've spent years and years being an active writer - to the point where you've gotten tired and need to stop and take a breather...
you then follow that up with "I know very little about graff itself (technical terms, process, history, actual painting etc)"
what you're saying is that basically you know close to nothing about graffiti - but still feel you're intermediate because you have "some semi-decent artistic skills"

either you've never really been a writer, or you don't know what "hiatus" means

    With that said,
I personally love your sketch. good job. You clearly have big creative muscles and respectable sketching skills.
but the million dollar question is: are there letters in there? ie is that a piece or just a doodle freestyle?

also, get to history class before anything pronto!

^your 3d confuses me. it does not match up in a lot of places. the letters are lost too... simplify, do a little less with style, and focus more on your can control. It will all fall together soon enough.

pinstripe? shit looks like a wobbly hand couldnt control a stock cap. a thin second outline, on a rolled wall with a squiggle background? Why was that the goal? especially since it looked like u gave little second outline shines to the left of a lot of that second outline, and those parts are thicker............................. not saying you should have used a fat cap or made that be some stand out thing, but a thicker second outline would have looked better, and set u up to fix your 3d and tighten your outline. the "especially since its black"... really? what pops off of a white white the most? BLACK. what contrasts and pops hard off of a super light color outline? a dark color.

piece aint bad. belongs in the thread. some things just a little confusing to me, and a lot of things could be tidied up
