im a hybrid- im a dj and a gutiarist in a punk rock band... kinda stranngee...

im a fan of qbert and the piklz and all he has done for the hiphop community- but im also a fan of danzig and the misfits for all they have done for the fiend community

if i dress in a radical nature for both musical styles at the same time- kill me.

boxcutters: those links i uploaded arent vids, only tracks

finding a vid of ss ultrabrutal would be hell

the minutemen are hard to classify, i only checked them out cause they were orginally signed to SST records

    i like their sound though

"For a majority of Black Flag's existence, Ginn used a Ampeg Dan Armstrong electric guitar, seen in use here. This guitar was stolen on April 16, 1986. This guitar became very very worn out after it's intense use. Ginn would play it so hard that sweat (as well as blood) would seep inside the guitar and cause it to short circuit. To fix this problem he soldered the tone and volume knobs into place and installed a waterproof switch."

i'm not too big on psychobilly. as for ska that is a different story.

    desmond dekker
    derrick morgan

    post-trad:

    hi-lites
    twilights
    tight spot
    hepcat
    slackers
    allentones
    chris murray (chris murray combo)

    two tone:
    the specials
    the selecter
    madness
    the (english) beat
    bad manners
    bodysnatchers
    the loafers

    third wave:
    gogo13
    operation ivy
    buck-o-nine
    aquabats (skaish)
    forces of evil
    jefferies fan club
    NUCKLE BROTHERS
    codename: rocky
    slow gherkin
    la bands skalavera
    voodoo glow skulls

if you like ska, catch 22 and streetlight manifesto are a MUST.
namely catch 22's "keasby nights". the rest of their stuff is pretty meh, but keasby nights is the definition of good 3rd wave ska. Their singer/guitarist/writer, Thomas Kalnoky (who left after keasby nights and when on to form streetlight manifesto) is a god. Keasby Nights has to be my favorite album of all time.

    Keasby Nights - Catch 22
thats the song keasby nights off the album keasby nights to clear up any confusion...

Another good ska group, one with more punk to them, is Operation Ivy. Im not sure if these guys were mentioned before, but they are fucking great....

    Sound System - Operation Ivy
    so fucking good
