^^^ amen, what kinda bands you into????? i love some old old metallica, slayer............. also, chaotic metal......... burn the priest, into the moat, norma jean
^^^ bless the martyr & kiss the child is such a good album the handshake murders and oh sleeper on sunday then heavy heavy low low on tuesday.
Shiiiiiiit haven't really listened to any thrash in ages but yeah - Metallica, Exodus, Slayer, Testament, Tankard, Dark Angel, Death Angel, Megadeth, Pantera - not thrash but meh, some other bands that that I can't think of right now.
I don't segregate graffiti that much but you're right I suppose. Letters vs. political are two different creatures, but I like the idea of being well rounded and knowledged. Obviously you are. Daps for that. Heart from Frisco is a good example of a cat who does letters ( a wide variety at that) and uses a bombers tactics, but continually spreads political messages. He's a fantastic balance of the two genres and doesn't let himself get pigeonholed. I like that shit. I have no idea what "thrash metal" is. Does it involve angry spooning? If so, I'm down for that.
im so pissed, i just missed a norma jean show a few days ago. they played with alexisonfire (so amazing) and saosin who i dont like but w/e
Haha, angry spooning, nice. I like the idea of being well rounded, like the bloke you mentioned. Anyways, thrash metal - Metallica on Kill 'em All and Ride the Lightening, Exodus' first album - Bonded by Blood, Early Megadeth, early early Slayer, good examples of the first lot of thrash bands kinda.
-Anything Rhymesayers -Jurassic 5 -Tech n9ne -Soul Coughing -Richard James -Dieselboy When I'm writing, I perfer to listen to nothing more than the ambience of spraycans.
Living Legends!!! Im completely disturbed Living Legends hasnt been mentioned!!!! my personal fav musicians they have the sickest chill beats and deep ass songs like Never Falling Down, After Im Gone, and Clean Nikes and Immortal Souls!~ but yeah underground hip hop is where its at like jedi mind and atmosphere, immortal technique, canibus, felt zion I i can go on... haha pfft nayz dude death metals where its at im not talkin shit bout thrash tho i just like death metal better cuz its new if youre all into the old then shit wont change and get boring and graff is always evolving yo...ya know...? ..word... haha ok im a lil faded right now jusdt got home from work but w/e :X

Punk (Anarcho-punk, political-punk, crust-punk, thrash-punk, street-punk, punk-rock, folk-punk) I only listen to it if its not-mainstream. IMO mainstream-punk is an oxymoron and automatically makes you a hypocrite. Gotta be small label and Indie Bluegrass (Bluegrass tribute bands are awesome. Iron Horse has a bluegrass Metallica tribute album - Fade to Bluegrass - Its good shit) Classical Jazz
underground rap lolzer.. im into Aceyalones new album at the moment.. gettin into some DNB shit too.. Pendulum. Chromeo are kina funkay. High Contrast. DJ Marky.
i listen to rap mostly but also dabble in the death metal scene. KING DIAMOND is dope old BEASTIE BOYS like i have some live bootlegs from 81 and shit... them on the "like a virgin tour" in tha early eighties. i just grabbed an old GRANDMASTER FLASH concert from 1978 off the net the other day thats crazy. MANTRONIX KOOL KEITH JACKY JASPER some necro shit and ill bill local GARY IN rap (where i stay at) i cant get into the emo rap shit tho. not knocking it but its just not my thing ya dig. I cant listen to el p or cage anymore since they got all gay wit it. oh yeah, i like old soul music from the 70's and old shit like fleetwood mac led zep black sabbath etc....
I got a trunk of vinyl records from my dad, He has a massive selection of music from his teenage years. The beatles, Led Zepllin, Black Sabeth, and all those older names. I listen to them whenever I can, I love em'.
