HOSTA – I started painting graffiti in 2009 when I was 19 years old. Growing up in small-town Nebraska I knew nothing about graffiti until I moved away for “school” and met a friend who enjoyed painting and introduced me to it. These days, you can still find me painting under bridges somewhere in the Midwest.

Some of the writers whose style I have always admired most would include Vogey, River, Rafe81, and Awe… lately I’ve had a lot of fun admiring all the work the CREATURES have been doing.

For me, painting graffiti is about having fun, getting outdoors, and being creative. I like to try and paint pieces that have some fun movement in them, as if they are dancing or doing kung fu…something like that haha. But I also try not to stray too far from the original letter structure, in hopes to keep the piece somewhat legible…they are letters after all, and letters are meant to be read! My goal: keep it simple, make it funky! Thanks for your time!
