I write KAER/ KAER67, have been painting since 2002/2003, part of the WD – DE- TCI crews and based in Los Angeles, CA. As an artist constant change and stepping outside of my comfort zone is how I find growth- I try as much as I can to make every piece fit the mold of the experience or the way I feel at the time. Most of what I do is spontaneous in an organized fashion.
Biggest inspirations I have to say are my friends/crewmates:
DE: Has been essential in molding my style from 2010 on. They had faith in me when I was a bit more stylistically challenged and play a huge part in where I am today in terms of style.
WD: Heavy bombers and dudes who like to have fun all push me to constantly stay on top of the street aspect of graffiti.
TCI: Huge influence when it comes to fine tuning and challenging myself to go above and beyond and taking those extra steps.
Being from Los Angeles most would expect a real evil aggressive style with whips and pointy things coming in and out of my letters. Although I have a big respect for the style and craft that goes into that, I have always steered away from it. My life in general has always been filled with aggression etc., so I have always been more inclined to do work that projects fun. All of the traveling I have done has really helped with molding and influencing what I do now as well. Check out my vid!
