Hello, I write KOMET1 and I am from Athens / Greece. I started graffiti at 1999 and my first tag was NETIK but it lasted only few months since I decited to keep Komet1 till now, it doesn’t mean anything special to me but I love the combo of letters are listed. I love experimenting with letters that’s why I do many exchanges with other writers too. The places i enjoy painting are abadoned factories or big walls in nature. I dont travel alot becauce of my family so i paint mostly here in Greece wich has many wonderfull places for paint and many spots called hall of fame.
The style I work mostly in my pieces is new school wildstyle. I never stopped admiring the styles of the past and my letters are influenced by those writers too, never forgetting the roots. I like pure graffiti including throwups, bombing and tags. In my opinion the difference between Street art and Graffiti is that graffiti Is the code that writers communicate to the streets all over the world and it’s illegal and street art is art and belongs to galleries with other fine art painters. Painting with spray cans doesn’t makes you graffiti artist. I respect the job and the big murals that many street artists do but it’s not graffiti. Anyway everyone can do whatever makes him happy even if he do TOY stuff.
