My name is MARTI, I am a writher based out of south London and I have been wrighting since ’98. I grew up riding trains around london  most days bunking  off school to go skating around ladbroke grove and southbank and all over london  , so I was  lucky enough to catch alot of tracksides and seeing alot of london wrighters producing some of the best styles  in the late 90s  when it was still thriving with full colour burners , not like today where nothing is really staying up ,everything is buffed  so quick . so this had a big effect on my style when i started off .Gradually throughout the years i would float in and out of painting letters and characters as i wanted to be able to paint everything but most of the time i would over kill my pieces with two much detail or two many colours and end up frustrated plus I was using  alot of plasticoat and hammerite which was fun but hard compared to paint nowadays , so in regards to my style im still learning its only through painting with towns mostly and the RT guys  the last few years im starting to narrow down my direction i wanna take my work. which seems to be simple and chunky i guess .

In terms of my influences i grew up looking at everything mostly in person before instagram and even flickr i would go check spots out and look at pieces in the flesh and study all the lines even tags . my train rides consisted of my eye balls glued to the windows trying to read pieces going full speed then sometimes getting off and walking down tracks to look at the pieces again and getting so hyped.I would get home and sketch in to the early hours  and reading the same issues i had of graphotism again and again. As for my influences  i grew up on  RT, DDS  pretty much anyone painting london in  late 90s and early 00’s

but my first years were my best when i was young and wreckless.
