Nesh63 (Warsaw) Graffiti Writer Spotlight

My name is Nesh63. I proudly represent HXM, NS, DIIL GANG and UNICATS crews.

I was born in Warsaw and I still live here today. I Started to paint in ‘97 but from ‘99 I took it more seriously and I’m active since then.

My first 10 years of painting was strictly bombing, making my name and my crews name up in the city was my main goal. Since then I still do some city bombing from time to time but mostly I’m concentrated to evolve my lettering no matter if it’s legal or illegal. Every place have its own advantages and disadvantages and as I get older I’m learning more and more how to use it to have some fun and to gain some experience from it. The best place for now I can do a piece is on a clean abandoned place.

I love letters and their evolution. My style is evolving all the time. If I had to do two pieces from same sketch, it would be a waste of paint for me. Also I’m getting bored fast, If I do couple of pieces with sharp outlines and many arrows then I have to do something different like minimalistic bubble one to fell right.

I’m sure I’m going to forget about some great writers but first ones that come into my head when I think about my favorite styles for now are: Tune aka Ojey80, Jurne, Opium, Zeus, Rota, Driud, Merd, Riam, Great, Bates, Slash, Kid Kash, Dmote, Ces, Rime, Ewok, Swet, Kems, Nomad, Space, Heis, Asmoe, Revok, Askew, Sobekcis, Ace, Rambo, Riot, Pencil, Flying Fortress, Ogryz, Hombre, Paco Sanchez.

Mostly I’m into styles that are done with understanding the basics and classic lettering in connection with personal freshness and new ideas, also I pay much attention to good composition and sense of humor. Colors, adds etc. are cool and some writers do it really great but if the letters suck I don’t really care. If I cannot read the letters in style in 3 seconds then I don’t really bother to try harder. The function of a letter is to be readable, If you cannot read id I’m not sure If it’s still a letter… Also I love to see the imperfections of a tool used in brave ways, sometimes cutting really looks great but if it’s being used consciously as a tool as well, if it’s only used to cover your mistakes that means you have to train more.
