Hey, what´s up yall this is PRIMO1, graffiti writer from Indaiatuba/Sao Paulo – Brazil. I’m currently based in Brooklyn, NY where I moved in 2017, representing ML/ADL/& FOREIGN POSSE crews. I got into the graffiti scene from seeing the streets of the neighborhood where I grew up (Ipiranga-SP) while on my way to school. Colors always attracted my attention but it was a specific moment of passing by a clear spot one day and then seeing that same spot the next day looking totally different covered in art that fascinated me. The action!
Even though I was caught by that early sense (I was about 10 years old), I had my first contact with spray paint and a wall a few years later in 2005-2006 when I was more involved with street culture because of skateboarding and rap music.
My inspirations were always my crewmates in Brazil who I learned so much from. Everything was kind of new for all of us and having something daily to discover and learn new tricks, styles, writers, and all that comes with graffiti culture was definitely the key to keeping us tight and focused: Psedks coming with a great wildstyle, Casp2 with a fast evolution and a proper style, Iconek. was always an inspiration with his block letters and love for the Hip Hop culture, Twosan who also have a dope wildstyle and flow in his letters… These homies keep me inspired even though we’re a lil bit far geographically, we stay close. Nothing has changed, at all.
I would say that my style has had a natural change over the years, which I think is due to the atmosphere of every moment I live. I’ve had a time of simpler pieces, others much more complex, but I would say that in all of them I always knew how to take advantage of the moment I’m painting and enjoy it. Never left a wall with dissatisfaction, I love what I do and just being able to do it makes my vibe. The action, again! That’s it.
A special shout out to my family at home and in the streets, friends. What I do and who I am is because of their support and unstoppable inspiration.
