Risto – I was born and raised in Israel, started writing in 2004 when I was 17
Our crew was one of the first people to paint walls in Israel, starting without any local writers to guide and teach us, we found our inspiration online, with 12oz prophet and similar forums and websites.
I was always attracted to strong NY style with bold letters, smart connections and unique styles.
Through the different social networks back in the day, I started talking to writers from all over the world, getting to know more about graffiti and how to improve myself. I had a strong connection with a couple of guys from FDC crew in Miami, we kept in touch over the years and eventually, I ended up going there to visit them, this visit was highly impactful of my style and how I live graffiti. I ended up joining FDC and I think till this day, the writers who I admire most, artistically and personally, are from this very crew.
I try and define my style as simple, straight forward wild style with a lot of Miami influences. When it comes to letters, I like “angry” looking shapes and funky flows. In 2017 I moved to Amsterdam, where I started experimenting more with my styles, incorporating more graphic design and lettering elements from my career as a designer. Experimenting with different effects, overlays, and colors.
