My interest in the culture began in 1985 having seen stuff by early London Pioneers. Then, through magazines – before the internet.
Painting since 1990. Legal for many years now.
Autonomous or in collaboration with others. driven by the complexity of letter styles. How letters connect and overlap. Flow. Motion and resulting energy. Connections, arrows, techniques. The manner in which these complements both adjoined letters and the overall concept of design/production. This, accentuated by selected color combinations. So many Writers influence me, for different reasons. Primarily the original New York Pioneers, naturally
When I was eleven years old, my mother said she thought this was ‘a fad’. That was over thirty years ago.
