What’s up everyone! I write Sadar. I’ve also been messing around with the name Blaze over the last year. I started painting graffiti in 2006, and currently located in Toronto, Canada. I represent ZNC (Zinc Nite Crew) and TFK (Three Flare Krew), both from Singapore.
I grew up a few hours outside of Toronto, so while I was in highschool I actually spent a lot of time looking at graffiti on Bombing Science and 12ozProphet forums. I was incredibly inspired by the Toronto scene at that time. The early to mid 2000’s were an incredible time in Toronto graffiti history. The HSA crew (Kwest, Kane, Bacon, Skam, Rons, AC, Recka) undoubtedly had the biggest impact on me. Causr, Trik, Daser, Sectr, Elicsr, Globe, Eyes, Sight, Mozie, Wysper, and many other notable writers also were big points of inspiration.
I moved to Singapore from 2017 to 2019, and these years were some of the best of my life. It was perfect timing too, right before COVID. During this time I experienced the amazing graffiti scene in South-East Asia, and was astounded with how many quality graffiti writers and scenes exist completely separate from North America. These years really opened up my mind to new styles and ways to paint letters. A special shoutout to all my Singaporean graffiti family (too many to list), you guys mean the world to me.
I would describe my style as diverse and clean. I’ve been flipping styles constantly over the years, and I try my best to never paint the same outline twice. I like taking my letters in a completely new direction and surprising people with new and creative approaches. As of late I’ve actually been trying to paint more character / illustrative work. I think as artists it’s so important to work outside of your comfort zone. This is where mistakes are made, lessons are learned and creative breakthroughs can be discovered.
Much love to everyone out there rockin’ world wide!
