Growing up I was big into skateboarding and filming, still am. One of my day one homies I used to skate with Serno DTK was into graff already. He asked if I would come film him and our other homie Sibe DTK painting some freights. I went with them to the yard and got some clips, ever since then I’ve been paying attention to the graff scene.

I started just getting flicks of the graff around Mississauga, then later started documenting what I could of the Toronto scene as well.

Few years ago I moved to the mountains and there’s no graffiti scene out here. That’s what made me switch my focus to benching freights.

I remember chilling with Serno around 2010 and he showed me one of his freights that had got benched on Flickr. It got benched out in BC somewhere and had a mountain in the background. I remember how hyped he was and how cool I thought it was. I think that’s why I try to get the mountains in the background instead of just a closeup of the panel.

Hope to give that same feeling we had to other people when they see they got benched.
