I’m from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. My artist name “Tays” comes from Tayson, nickname was given to me when I was kid and I had a bit up face and around that time Mike Tyson was trending. Anyways when I was in middle school I started getting interested in graffiti, paying attention to walls and murals from my daily commute. I first started tagging Tayson, but I realized it was way to many letters, so I decided to stick with just “Tays”. It was in 2008 when I actually started doing graffiti, having Nero as my partner in crime. With the passing of the time I was more involve with the graffiti world, networking with more and more people who have huge graffiti art backgrounds. I have learned a lot from them, I personally see a lot of potential in the Mexican artists. I admired specially each one of my crew’s fellas EYOS/ UK/ OTR, without leaving on the side Motick, Senkoe, Smithe, Peque Mser, just to mention few.
I know theres is a lot of potential worldwide, but I’m not one of those who spends time on a computer browsing other artist’s style.
