My name is Wüna, I am a graffiti artist from France, but I live in Montreal since 2012. I discovered graffiti, felt in love with, and started writing it in 2001, as a teenager, in the skatepark of my little city…I quickly knew that it was going to be a big part of my life. In 2005, I settled down in Toulouse (France) to study and I quickly met many writers along the way. It was at that moment that I began to paint much more actively

As many others from the same generation, I grew up with Hip Hop culture as a whole…I started Breakdancing and Writing at a early age; I find in those two disciplines, a passionate quest and a daily search for flow, fluidity, and harmony trough Movement, whether in letters or in body. I don’t like static things, I like when things evolve; I try to translate this evolution by the movement of my letters, or my characters, trying to give them soul and express raw energy. But I am still far from reaching the perfect recipe, and I have a long way to go before reaching the desired result or finding the ideal style. Meanwhile, I always try to develop and push my style further.

I love working characters as much as lettering…from simple to wild style, kicking throw up and tags as well, in order to cultivate and feed the full essence of this discipline. Arabic calligraphy, music, animals, cartoons and funky stuff also greatly influence my creativity. Friends who surround me, and people I meet, are a main source of inspiration while I draw my characters, and try to transcript their attitude.
