if you pay for shipping im willlin to send it to yah =P yup. i has minwax fast drying polyurethane. i compared 1/2 paint 1/2 linseed oil with 1/2 paint 1/2 polyurethane. same consistency. same thickness
I was messing around with Minwax polyurethane a while back. I ended up spilling an assload all over my basement floor. I just spread it out and now the cement is all glossy! Poly is fun. Word on the sig add olick. Sometimes I lay awake at night and fantasize about marrying you. We could have 2.5 children, and a little Beagle named Scooter. Only our white picket fence would be full of tags and pieces.
probably a little of both just to be safe for the gay talking: My ink started to MELT the little plastic mixing containers I was using. I figure that it must have just been the type of plastic because the other bottles that have ink in them are just fine. At least now I know not to order bottles made out of that type of plastic. I'll definitely put info in the Cookbook about types of plastics.
lol condoms. on the side note. a clear coat of polyurethane woops xylenes ass. im gonna start doin more research to see why people should prefer linseed oil except polyurethane. since they both look identical but poly dries to a harder finish making xylene tear a little. xylene still wins but it took me alot more rubbin nohomo. btw guys. the book is just a bunch of stuff put togather. i dont want people thinking its like the holy grail n shit. but it does have awesome info. even secret recipes from biz n rogue btw, has anyone else noticed that denatured alcohol wont mix with paint by itself? but for some reason it works fine when i add other chems like xylene n shit?
another uber fail for me, the pen ink thing. made a gigantic fucking mess. it was mad shitty, and it took me three hours to get about three mop fulls of ink. plus, i used 71 percent alcohol and not 91, so i kinda fucked that up.
u gotta wait 24 hours for the pen ink to fully mix with the alchohl and zen u goin to the maimai graff jam?
thats because dentured alcohol is mostly ethanol which is a polar substance but also has a slightly non polar charge. Oil paint Being non polar. So if you first mix paint with acetone it will mix asacetone has both polar and non polar charges bonding with the paint and the ethanol. hope my little chemistry teachings help
olick i will pay shipping you stingy mofo for olick: [Broken External Image]:http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e337/blackmatch456/P1020386.jpg lets all the inks dry for 5 hours ONE THICK ASS COAT of spray oink raped
I am curious to know how a aerosol can of Krylon clear coat mix in with my GK and Japan drying agents would work out.. Perhaps quicken the drying time that much more? BTW, anyone have any OT mops to send off?
might be the ink bro.....the sides get all sucked in an shit?? my red, green, blue and black do that same shit...even turn the mops the color of the ink....mean shit....
well its obviously the ink, but what i mean is the ink can't go in those containers. i think the containers were PET plastic, whereas the bottles that i have the ink in is HDPE plastic. You see, when you get into the ink business you learn about different types of plastics, even though theres nothing to do with the ink itself, but it has to do with packaging and whatnot. Need to make sure the container can withstand the evil concoctions im putting in it. Maybe I'll talk about different plastics in Olick's Ink Cookbook when he sends it my way.
Use a glass bottle maybe? would putting 50ml or so of acetone in one of those plastic water bottles melt them? cause ive done it before and the plastic has witheld, plastic cups on the otherhand...well thats another story haha
my lil ot mops loosen up and the nib just plops off. either its because i shove a funnel in the whole "expanding it" or the chemicals make the rim of the bottle looser. i emailed dab-o-matic about plastics and if certain chemicals weaken it. bastards never sent shit
