cus i made the mistake of filling up a whole bottle before i tested it and now it looks shite, i dont know if its the marker not letting enough through, i used a bingo dabber with stock tip but with flow restrictor taken out and that came out better than bingo dabber with felt, i'm gonna go make some small samples now edit: could've been the paint, it was childs redimix paint but it did say on the side 'dilute with water if necessary'
you dont need good acrylic to make it look good man. i use dollar store paint and it works perfectly.
Here is some Zenstar Ocean Crunk.. (It is acrylic based but with some ingredients that are rare and kinda hard to get if you don`t have bees at home ... Yes my father is a beekeeper and I`m allergic to bee stings.. kinda ironic isn˙t it?) (The lines are streaky because of the shitty marker I used(I just wanted to see how the colour comes out ) )
ye, might it be the silver, has anyone ever made acrylic silver? might be something in it like silver spray paint just absorbs paint and is a bugger to paint over, i got a 99p 500ml green, i'll try that
ive never tried silver, id stick to silver gk if i were you, try and make the colors really poppy with acrylic
this summer i worked for the city and had to buff some graffiti and goof off is actually pretty good.
no man it was actually a summer job i had and got paid 9.50 an hour ahahaha, but anyways thats the best ghost i've seen all summer, and thats no lie hombre.
read my mind ahaha it was cool cause id know everywhere id go buff the next day, so i can actually SEE which ink really beats the buff. Oink indoors kills, i started removing it with goof off and it started to smudge EVERYWHERE, making a bigger mess than before, so my boss just told me to put some primer on it, but it kept bleeding through and after 3 coats, he just gave up hahaha but yeah vagrant, no ink ive buffed, besides grog, came out with a ghost that dense
kinda late but i dont think thats acrylic. judging by the "redimix ten" id say its tempera which is worse than acrylic. its used at schools because its cheaper and easier to remove than acrylic.
when you can see through the paint (what's left of it) that means there's too much water...use very little water when you play around with acrylics...it don't look like much, but a little water thins that shit out alot....use that 'flow release' stuff by "golden" if you wanna thin the paint....water just takes away from the paint...
it looks like the surface is repelling the water-based paint because of what's already on it. try the same mixture on a different surface. some surfaces such as doors will repel it also so try to bomb anything unprimed like raw wood or concrete and see how that turns out. oh and yeah try to buy paint that actually says 'acrylic' because it's better than that poster paint. like somebodys already said AND the stuff in bottle is generally already thin, especially tempera. so just put some(without water) in a nice free flowing soft marker and squeeze the fuck out if it / take out the regulator / rough up the nib if it's still not decent.
