I’ve been writing since ’96 out of Virginia, but i would consider the first couple just writing on about anything, tagging, bombing, few trains, few walls, general messing stuff up with my boy TOAP rock, getting my bearings right. It wasn’t until about ’99 when i moved back to the DC metro area where i really started focusing on improving my skill, linking up with my main man REI21. Besides painting trains, line spots, and cuts, we tried to push productions to another level at the time, by incorporating themes, characters, 3D pieces, messaging, and just trying to be all-out well rounded.

My style early on used to be mostly more dimensional things/3D pieces/characters, i wrote ENVY137. At the time, I felt like that made you stand out more then the rest. As my focus became more on trains, i totally changed my perception on things. In the beginning i had more of a illegible flexed-out thorny-spikey looking style, which came around this stock cap phase. As time went on, i shifted back to the basics having some kind of letter structure by making stuff simpler and more legible. Now i think i’m trying to stay simpler, add some flex, with a twist of dimension or this fake-bevel styled-ish I’ve been work on lately.

Most of my influence writer-wise i would say is my crew, my homies, and fools i’ve gotten up with a long the way, i guess thats pretty typical. The homie FREAK$ pushes me to make them rounds ‘round town, so i try to keep it steady moving. Realistically, I like seeing fools keepin’ on truckin’ and doing there thing, whatever that may be, or when. I feel like I can find something visually interesting in all aspects of the graff-game or writers. From older heads, new jacks, overseas fools, you know the whole inter-web dating scene. At some point i guess you gotta embrace the change.

RIP to all the fallen, shouts to the homies, throat punch to the haters. I’ll be around, holler ya’ll!
